A child's gold finger ring with a round bezel, simple and smooth. 2.08 grams, 18.06mm overall, 16.86mm internal diameter (approximate size British N, USA 6 1/2, Europe 13.72, Japan 13) (3/4"). From a London W1, UK, collection; acquired on the German art market before 2000. Rings were gifted to the children in particular moments of they life, for example in occasion of a birthday. In Plautus's play Epidicus, the protagonist asks the young girl Telestis: 'Don't you remember my bringing you a gold lunula at your birthday, and a little gold ring for your finger?'
