A large bronze enkolpion reliquary cross pendant comprising two narrow hinged plates and an articulated suspension loop with two vertical ribs; obverse with Jesus Christ on the cross, dressed with a long robe (sticharion) and two small figures of Evangelists at his side, under the arms the inscription (?C?C ??? = Iesus Christos Nike = Jesus Christ is victorious); reverse with the Theotokos (Mother of God) in orans posture and the four nimbate busts of Evangelists, with the Gospel in their hands, surrounding, with three Greek letters flanking them (? = Matthew, ? = Mark, ? = Christos) Cf.
