TWO INLAID EBONY NETSUKE AFTER HASEGAWA IKKO Unsigned, after Hasegawa Ikko Japan, early 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) Depicting two Chinese sages wearing a cloak carved from ebony, the second with the face, hands, feet and staff inlaid the first inlaid in boxwood. HEIGHT 6.6 - 7.5 cm Condition: Good age-related condition, few chips and wear. The first missing the staff. Provenance: British collection.
