A CHAM GOLD RING Champa, c. 10th - 12th century. The ring band widening towards the top, with deep recesses just before the round stepped ring top. Condition: The ring has been repaired in two places. Remnants of a gemstone are visible, extensive patina especially around the top. Provenance: A private owner, acquired from the collection of Dr. Istvan Zelnik several years ago. Weight: 4.1 g. Dimensions: Size 3 x 2.5 cm. Metallurgic analysis: Fine gold content (24K): Weight 4 g.
