A reversible segmented gold necklace comprising gold links each with an inset facetted diamond with green enamel frame, band of wire-mounted pearls to the edge and enamelled tulip motif to the reverse; openwork centrepiece plaque of opposed birds with inset carved emeralds, rubies, diamonds and spinels, large irregular spinel dangle, enamelled bird and foliage design to the reverse; diamond cluster to each of the outer ends and fabric cords with sliding closure. 101 grams, 100cm overall (39"). From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s; supplied with geologic report No. TL005223, by geologic consultant Dr R. L. Bonewitz.
