A MID 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE AND WHITE MARBLE CLOCK GARNITURE BY POTONIE OF PARIS, CIRCA 1840 the clock with drum case surmounted by a dove holding a ribbon tied garland of flowers, raised on a marble plinth over an oval base cast with tassels, the white enamelled dial signed 'POTONIE PARIS', with Roman numerals, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, the backplate signed 'POTONIE PARIS', with pendulum (lacking bell), the garniture candlesticks with reversible domed covers with candle nozzles below, raised on fluted plinths and square marble bases, the clock 30cm high (3) The movement is ticking but not fully tested or guaranteed.
