A magnificent antique Bijar with a striking central medallion on a camel field. The dark blue ground of the medallion is decorated with a generously designed Herati pattern. Beautiful large palmette flower pendants complete the core motif, which has also been placed in the corners of the field as a medallion quarter with pendants. A beautiful colouring with striking contrasts of dark blue and water blue sections on a light-ground field. A Herati border typical of the provenance with a powerful geometric leaf vine. An expressive collector's item with a densely woven pile and good wool quality. Selective usessp. min. corner repair. Upper and lower edge slightly incomplete.
