These 15 portraits are framed by a narrow border of blue cartouches with finely executed verses. On comparable pieces the corners are decorated with crescent motifs. Viewed from top to bottom, representatives of the last three dynasties are shown in chronological order, the Kajars, the Zand and the Afshar. A remarkable collector's item.
