A pair of Meissen porcelain allegorical candlesticks, probably candelabra bases, late 19th century, moulded with figures representative of Ganymede and a female companion, he holding a club with a dog and pan pipes at his feet, she holding a cup aloft, each with eagles behind supported on exotic columns with foliate tops and urn form candle cups, blue cross swords marks to the base, incised marks for K 49 and K50, 30cm high (2) female figure has break to hand, retained part, potential repair to candle cup, male figure may have losses to club as originally it would have been a torch, general domestic dirt
