In a wide mountainous landscape, under the warm light of the setting sun, a young shepherdess has settled down with her animals on a small hill at the bank of a river. Among them are two magnificent cows, some sheep, a goat and a small dog, which curiously moves towards the water. On the left side, a huge overgrown rock can be seen, while on the right, the view goes to two large mountain hills under a light blue sky with large cloud formations illuminated by the sun.
