A BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL IZNIK POTTERY TILE Ottoman Turkey, circa 1520 - 1550 Of hexagonal shape, painted in cobalt blue and turquoise over a white ground, decorated with radiating arabesques flanking palmettes amidst full-blown lotus flowers tendrils, mounted on a white plastic hanging frame, 20.5cm wide including the frame. Provenance: acquired in Greece by the present owner, April 1984.
