Depicting the King facing left against a red drapery wearing a blue ribbon with the star of the Order of the Black Eagle, an ermine lined cloak, and a tricorn. Inscribed in Spanish on a stone slab "Federico II. de Prusia y Elector de Brandenbourgo". 14,3 x 10 cm. In a Spanish giltwood frame. Attribute to Spanish School, 18th C. The blue ribbon worn by the King is slightly incongruous, as the ribbon of the Order of the Black Eagle should be reddish-orange in colour. Nach einer graphischen Vorlage, basierend auf dem berühmten Porträt des jungen Königs von Antoine Pesne (um 1740). Halbfigur nach Links vor roter Stoffdraperie. In blauem, silberbestickten Rock mit blauem Ordensband und Stern des Schwarzen Adlerordens, hermelinverbrämtem Mantel und mit dekorativem Dreispitz. Auf einer Steinplatte spanisch bezeichnet "Federico II. de Prusia y Elector de Brandenbourgo". 14,3 x 10 cm. Vergoldeter spanischer Holzrahmen. Wohl Spanischer Meister, 18. Jh. Etwas kurios ist das blaue Ordensband, das beim Orden vom Schwarzen Adler eigentlich orangerot sein müsste. Womöglich kannte der Künstler nur einen nicht kolorierten Kupferstich.
