A group of five oval intaglios comprising: a domed red intaglio with an a profile bust to top centre above an eagle between two standards with Victory on each; a red intaglio with Isis suckling Harpocrates, a green stone intaglio depicting a standing figure holding a palm leaf with a bird at his feet; a domed amethyst intaglio of Victory; and a red intaglio with helmetted Minerva holding Victory in right hand, a spear in the left and an owl at the feet. 3.8 grams total, 12-15mm (1/2 - 3/4"). From a private collection of seals and amulets, the property of a Canadian gentleman living in London; from his father's collection formed in the late 1960s to 1980s. [5]
