1st-2nd century AD. A silver figure of a ram laying with legs folded beneath the body and head turned to the rear. 36.9 grams, 31mm (1 1/4"). Property of a European professional; acquired by gift from his patient, archaeology professor Witold Dobrowolski (1939-2019) in the 1990s; Professor Dobrowolski was a lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology in Warsaw, and a long-time curator of the Ancient Art Collections of The National Museum of Poland.
