A rectangular blue glass domed seal, the underside with an advancing horseman wielding a spear at a standing soldier holding a shield; pierced for suspension. 3.5 grams, 18mm (3/4"). From the property of a London gentleman; thence by descent; previously in an important private Mayfair, London collection, acquired after 1970; originally catalogued by Professor W.G. Lambert.
