A bronze oil lamp with broad squat body and three claw feet, discus with radiating acanthus-leaf ornament, hinge to support a separate lid (absent); two D-shaped nozzle with scroll and foliage detailing, bull-head finial with open mouth; handle to the rear the curved neck and head of a horse with chain. 995 grams, 16.5cm (6 1/2"). From an important central London collection formed since the mid 1960s; thence by descent.
