此拍品选用黄花梨与紫檀木料精雕而成，底座为方盒状，如意形足部上镌卷草纹，盒侧浮雕花鸟纹，盒盖书卷与盒身书本有黄花梨雕包袱形相连。盖面刻划锦地花卉纹，充满典雅之古韵。盖顶堆起两层共三卷书形盒，卷缘黄花梨制，质感光润，此盒选料考究，雕工精细，紫檀的深沉与黄花梨的轻快完美结合，凸显出一个“雅”字，而仿书卷造型的设计意趣无穷，远观就是几捆书卷置于案牍，近观则别有洞天，颇具把玩性，由此也可看出此物主人的艺术品味。
