A mid Georgian Irish silver salver, maker's mark possibly WT, Dublin no date letter, with a raised moulded scroll border, engraved with a crest above C, on three pad feet, 18.5cm (7 1/4in) diameter, 403g (12.95 oz) Provenance: The Cairns family, Ireland; thence to Simon Dallas Cairns, 6th Earl Cairns. The maker may be William Townsend working from 1726 to 1775 Condition Report: Marks are partially obscured, engraving is worn.
