Tay Bak Koi is one of Singapore's most renowned second generation artists. He studied at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in the late 1950s under the guidance of pioneer artist Cheong Soo Pieng (1917-1983), training in the traditions of both Western and Eastern painting.
