A brass ewer representing a bird standing on a tiered square base; the bird with openwork tail, feather detailing to wings, body and neck; incised bird motif to each wing; arched handle to the back with spur connecting to the comb and lidded filler hole above; the base with cruciform voids in the upper tier, leaf detailing below. 1.4 kg, 26cm (10 1/4").
