Late 19th-early 20th century AD. A silver Apostle spoon with scooped bowl, flat baluster with facing figure modelled in the half-round, twisted stem and Apostle figure finial, standing with right arm drawn across the chest cradling a lamb(?) and left hand supporting an anchor, perhaps St. Peter who was originally a fisherman(?); underside of bowl engraved with copperplate monogram 'LCM' and stamped 'Q' on a heater shield, 'M' on a pounced field, 'DB' in a triangle (or star?), the marks possibly Dutch in origin. 47.4 grams, 18.5cm (7 1/4").
