White Jade Carved with Horse Hilt Dagger Qianlong Period 短剑配马首形和田白玉柄，双目有神，昂首警视，剑身以绞丝花纹钢锻造，近把部一面错银饰西域花纹图案，剑尖部锻双边锯齿状锋刃，剑身光亮高贵华丽。痕都斯坦为清代对北印度的称谓，十八世纪做工精美的痕都斯坦玉器传入中国后，曾得到乾隆皇帝的赞赏，乾隆帝还曾为一把西域进贡来的痕都斯坦玉柄剑留下过一首御题诗文：“文列星形光溢涛，切昆纽似断秋毫，于阗西去千余里，更数寻常玉霸刀。“ 。清乾隆年间宫廷仿制过很多痕都斯坦式玉器。据史料记载，清宫造办处如意馆在1748--1795年间曾锻造过四批240把被编号为”天“、“地”、“人”并命名为“湛锷韬精”的精美刀剑。
