Manner of Marcus Geeraerts the Younger (Flemish 1561-1635) Man in a Ruff, Said to be Thomas Cecil, First Earl of Exeter, K.G. Attributed and identified in inscriptions in a later hand on the reverse, with three unidentified wax seals on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 33 x 28 1/4 in. (84.0 x 71.8 cm), unframed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure. N.B. Marcus Geeraerts the Younger was active in England at the era of Elizabeth I.
