A pair of French gilt bronze and white marble mounted chenets in Louis XVI style, possibly by Bouhon et Cie, late 19th century, each with a festooned Neoclassical urn cast with twin scrolled handles, berried finial and cavorting putti in relief, the elongated bases cast with further recessed relief panels, fruiting vine, lambrequins and a further, smaller urn, on toupie feet, 62cm high, 47cm wide, 20cm deep This model was produced by the Parisian foundry of the Bouhon freres during the later 19th century. A pair of identical design save for the toleware base of the urn was sold at Christie's London, the Opulent Eye, 15 March 2012, lot 142
