KIMINORI MIZOBE (B.1961) Untitled signed Nori (on the stretcher) acrylic on canvas, unframed 159.4 x 218.4 cm (62 3/4 x 86 in) Kiminori Mizobe served as a pilot in the Japanese Air Force. In the early 1980s he moved to Tokyo, where he worked for make-up artists in film and television. In 1989 he left Japan to study Fine art in London. He attended Chelsea School of Art and Wimbledon college where he turned his attention to painting. The present work is thought to have been completed during his time in London, where he exhibited throughout the 90s.
