华士奎(1864-1942) ，光绪举人。祖籍江苏无锡，晚清著名书法家，北洋政府时期曾当过内阁总署。父亲是华屏周，以营盐为业，仅华世奎一子。家教严格，上午背书，下午习字，后拜名士杨香吟为师，十六岁中秀才，二十九中举人，当朝爱其才，破格召入宫中，担任内阁中书，负责缮写工作。庚子事变后考入军机处，荐升领班章京。辛亥革命后，遵其父嘱，以省亲为名，返回天津，从此一别宦海，以卖字为生。
