A fabric panel fragment made from a patchwork of bleached plain-weave linen squares of irregular form joined with loose seams with longer runner to the upper edge; applied embroidered detailing including a chalice, unguentarium(?), birds and other items executed mainly in shades of brown-black and red; mounted on a modern cotton backing and attached to a textile foundation on a wooden stretcher. 2.3 kg, 76 x 47cm (30 x 18 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the London art market in the 2000s.
