In the Cabinet at Houghton, after Jan Van Huysum; mezzotint, published September 1st 1781 by John Boydell in Cheapside London, visible sheet 54x39cm Mounted in a glazed ebonized frame, late 20th century May or may not be stuck down as unexamined out of the frame Has been close mounted and the platemark is not visible on any of the sides. Sheet subject to long diagonal crease approx. 17cm in length top right corner, with associated subsidiary creasing and small diagonal repaired tear. Small spot of loss to the print surface in this area. Some retouching visible along this crease. Shorter diagonal creases top left corner. Very find abrading to the print surface lower left corner by the fruit and below. The print surface may have been cleaned at some point in time. In good restored condition.
