此香熏为紫砂质，施宜钧釉，牛背上盘腿而坐的老子为香熏盖，做工精巧，构思巧妙。老子衣袍舒卷，手持葫芦坐于牛背之上，面容安详可亲，线条富于动感。牛引颈抬头，憨态可掬。老子、牛二者恰到好处，构成一幅生动的老子出关景象。据《史记》载：老子姓李，名耳，字聃，因而人称老聃，曾做过周王室管理藏书的史官，后来隐居不仕，骑青牛西出函谷关后“莫知其所终”。本品将乘青牛而隐逸的老者形象刻划的惟妙惟肖，堪称佳器。品相：完整
