The translucent green jadeite carved as a mythical beast atop the square sectioned seal, the sides incised with band of scrolled floral pattern along the top, the seal face carved with four characters on one and six characters on the other. Height: 2 1/2 in (6.3 cm) Length: 1 2/8 in (3.2 cm) Width: 1 2/8 in (3.2 cm) Provenance: Property from a private collection, Dallas 翡翠俗稱硬玉，主要產於緬甸。清代早中期，宮廷用玉主要是和田玉，至中晚期，和田玉開採瀕臨枯竭，緬甸翡翠以其充滿生機的青翠與碧綠的特點開始受到皇家重視。此對章呈方形。雕琢之藝刀法精煉老道，打磨溫潤，顏色嬌豔沉穩， 玻璃光澤強，顯晶瑩剔透之感，印鈕立體圓雕瑞獅，瑞獅濃眉圓目，嘴微張露齒，神情敏銳， 雙耳後豎，鬃髮飄於腦後，前足挺立，體態健碩，肌肉強健有力，蓄勢待發，一幅威嚴兇猛之勢，雕刻極為生動。印文：“左宗棠印”“青宮太保恪靖侯”，印文字跡工整清晰。 來源：德州達拉斯藏家收藏
