A small Louis XV mantel clock with a pocket watch movement, Paris, 18th century Fire-gilt bronze housing, finely chased in places in the form of a cartouche, finished with the figure of a seated Chinese man. The delicate, gilt movement signed "LANGLOIS A PARIS" on the back plate. The winding work with a fusée-and-chain mechanism, the balance wheel with an openwork cover. Some of the movement screws blued. The hours on the enamel clock face marked by Roman numerals, the minutes in Arabic numerals, winding mechanism below the XII. Openwork Louis XV hands. Dimensions 17 x 11 x 4 cm. Condition: II Condition Report: Showing traces of age and use. The gilding abraded in places. The function and accuracy of the clockwork has not been checked. Im Werk sind teils gebläute Schrauben verarbeitet. Das Emailleziffernblatt mit römischen Stunden und arabischer Minuterie sowie Aufzug unterhalb der XII. Durchbrochen gearbeitete Louis XV-Zeiger.
