Two Indian tulwars with gold and silver inlays 19th century One is a hunting sword (shikargar) with a broad, single-edged blade, completely covered with animal and hunting scenes chiselled in relief on both sides, double-edged point. The iron knuckle-bow hilt with lavish gold and silver floral inlays, a stylised bird's head on the pommel. The second tulwar with a sturdy Persian kilij blade made of beautiful wootz-Damascus, broadening towards the point. Ornamental gold inlays on both sides at the root, the obverse chiselled with a stylised lion, a gold-inlaid maker's cartouche, "Made by Assad Ullah", on the reverse. The iron knuckle-bow hilt entirely covered with geometric inlays in gold and silver. Length 84.5 and 82.5 cm. Condition: II Condition: II Zwei gold-und silbertauschierte Tulware, Indien, 19. Jhdt. Darunter ein Jagdsäbel (Shikargar) mit breiter, beidseitig vollflächig mit Tier- und Jagdszenen reliefiert geschnittener, an der Spitze zweischneidiger Rückenklinge. Das eiserne, vollflächig floral gold- und silbertauschierte Bügelgefäß mit stilisiertem Vogelkopf am Knauf. Das zweite Exemplar mit kräftiger, an der Spitze verbreiterter, persischer Kilic-Klinge aus schönem Wootz-Damast. Am Ansatz beidseitig ornamentale Goldtausia mit terzseitig geschnittenem, stilisierten Löwen, auf der Gegenseite goldtauschierte Herstellerkartusche „Arbeit des Assad Ullah“.
