Measurements: 15.25in x10.625in x 7.625in Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Red wrapped floral motif porcelain lidded wine pot. Potted in wine pot shape, thick, large and tall, baluster body, slight heavy on lower belly, gently toward tall cylindrical neck, with curved spout flanked on the mid belly, outward at the wide mouth rim, a looped handles giving a balance on the opposite sides, flanked on the shoulder rim to lower belly, with reverse bowl dome lid finial bud, raised with short small round foot base and slight concave. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the iron red fine color depicted of abundant flower blooms with scrolling interlocking tendril and foliage, which collar banded with arrays of tropical leaves patterns, and upper mouth rim with repeating key fret. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.
