The Porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with broad wide central interior, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, a slightly flared lip and scalloped wavy form lip, raised with round shallow draft. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The center interior medallion adorned with five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst thrashing Lishui waves water, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens, enclosed with double fine blue rings. The mid body decorated with flowers blooms interspersed with interlocking tendril. The outer rim festooned with thrashing wavy Lishui water . Each section banded and enclosed with double fine blue rings. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks with edge-cut foot rim. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
