HONGWU PERIOD (1368-1398)Carved in the center with a large peony blossom growing on a stem, the lobed sides with upright floral sprays radiating around cavetto, before a key fret band on the broad, bracket-lobed mouth rim, the conforming exterior with further floral sprays radiating around the low foot ring, covered with a light celadon-green glaze, the underside base with an unglazed circle burnt orange in the firing.
