款识：“何挺初”（底款）说明：此壶圆润丰满，鼓盖，盖面设桥式钮，壶钮配以双活环。壶腹下部圆鼓，下设三只长柱形足，长筒形直流，龙形弯把。整壶质朴，金砂显现，端庄而显素雅。何挺初，高级工艺美术师、中国工艺美术学会会员。1940年生于陶都宜兴。师从吴云根、裴石民，得到顾景舟大师的指点从事紫砂陶艺，作品在专业评比中多次获奖，并被多家博物馆收藏，其中《五头蟹篓茶具》、《浪花提梁壶》被香港茶具文物馆收藏，《觚菱壶》被美国旧金山亚洲博物馆收藏。参阅：《宜兴紫砂珍赏》，远东图书出版，1992年1月，页294。
