说明：竹制笔筒，形制规整，大小适中，竹材坚实缜密，通体包浆厚润，呈熟栗色泽，宝光莹莹；口沿处理精细，打洼较深，竹节横膜为底，下嵌四足底座。作者以刀代笔，通体阴刻行楷“才谢珪璋，言惭博达，至于内典，尤所未闲，昨制序文，涂为鄙拙，唯恐秽翰墨于金简，标瓦砾于森林，忽得来书，谬承褒赞，循躬省虑，弥盖厚颜，善不足称，空劳致谢。“落款”临圣教序一札，于巫水城南十研书屋。道光二年八月六日。丹虚道人并嵌“巫？”朱印。字体遒劲流畅,结体饱满，刀锋工致力达。备注：原嵌红木四足底座，四周打洼手法同口沿处相类，极为难得。
