说明：博山炉是汉、晋时期汉族民间常见的焚香所用的器具，上有高而尖的盖，盖上雕镂有象征海上仙山的“博山”。使用时将香料放在炉内点燃，缕缕香烟通过盖上的镂孔飘散四方，馨香扑鼻，北宋考古学者吕大临《考古图》记载：“香炉像海中博山，下盘贮汤使润气蒸香，以像海之四环。”然此类器物多以铜为材熔铸雕造而成，瓷胎者极为烧少见，本品便为一例。 该炉由炉盖、炉座两部分组成，内壁施白釉，嵌入式盖，与炉融为一体，炉鼎镂雕描金双蝠展翅相对翻飞，余部均以黄彩为地，上浮雕雲蝠及寿桃纹，三足之间施木纹釉，整器工艺繁复，纹饰精美，极为难得。
