镌刻：“崇川式庵吴模製”说明：澄泥砚，砚体宽实，呈色暗黄，亦称鳝鱼黄，作覆瓦状造型，质地坚实细腻，砚面开窗作淌池式，背面中部隶书刻“崇川式庵吴模製”，款字刚劲有力，颇具法度。 吴模，字伟人，云南大姚人，清乾隆庚辰举人，历官高苑、乡宁等县知县。《大姚县志·人物志》有传。
