说明：砚以端石为之，形制规矩，近似椭圆形，砚池较小，其状与砚体相呼应，通体光素，纯洁无尘，煞是美观，极具文人气息。 原配锡製砚盒，包浆陈润，盒面阴刻博古图，并隶书“身孤慙待伴，砚古带潮纹。”落款“石楳”。 朱石梅（1796-1850），名坚，字石梅，一作石楳，又作石眉、石某，山阴人。工鉴赏，多巧思。与沈存周齐名，以精锡製成茗壶，沙胎锡壶是其创製。著有《壶史》，嘉、道以来名士题咏殆遍。能画，善墨梅，亦具苍古之致，兼长人物花卉。篆、隶、行、楷，均劲逸有风致。尤精铁笔，竹、石、铜、锡靡不工。
