说明：此砚呈长方形，青灰中微带蓝紫，石质极为细腻光滑，致密滋润。製作精良，随形切割，规矩大方，断面处浮雕云纹为饰，独具匠心，古朴雅拙，既有浑然天成之感，细微处又富具匠心。 原配红木砚盒，盖面刻行书铭文：“其色润而泽，其质密而理，书画之美亦如此，石园宝用知其旨。丁卯岁（1927年）十月松窗铭”，可知此砚在民国时曾为张石园所藏，褚德彝为其题铭，极为珍贵，殊可宝藏。 张石园（1899-1959） 字克龢，号石园、又名入玄，号麻石翁，室名研云山馆，江苏武进人。工山水。为上海中国画院画师、上海文史馆馆员、西泠印社社员。 褚德彝（1871-1942），原名德仪，字守隅、松窗，号礼堂，别号汉威，室名角荼轩，浙江余杭人。成宪侄。精金石考据，嗜古博物。尤精篆刻，初师浙派，后潜研秦汉鉨印。工画，亦能写梅。
