来源香港M&CGallery，乾坤堂旧藏笔格亦称笔山、笔搁，可用于书画构思或暂息时藉以置笔，是为古人书案之上不可或缺的文房陈设。本件作品为寿山石制，仿太湖石之形，圆雕做山形笔架，三峰并立，山势连绵。通体光素，仅透雕孔洞错落通透，颇具灵动之妙，每个圆孔均打磨光润，不似人工，更似天成，自然洒脱，充分展现出太湖石“瘦、皱、漏、透”的审美特征，可谓文人艺术的极致之作。器底以篆书刻「峰回途必转，意至石亦迁」并铭「嘉庆五年春日硺」，书法体丰骨劲，隽永怡人。古代文人寄情于山水，但受条件限制并不能时常远游与山水为伴。于是将山水或入画，或入陈设，常伴己身，于室内有限之空间即可体味自然，进而体悟自心的无限空间。如本品之笔山，观之既有由「简」至「淡」，由「淡」至「远」之感，可谓意境清幽之文房佳品。
