印章为芙蓉石质地，微透明，色粉红柔和，雕有双螭龙钮，辅以朵云纹装饰。整器雍容华贵，雕工精湛。古人推崇芙蓉石曰：“美玉莫竞，贵则荆山之璞，蓝田之种；洁则梁园之雪，雁荡之云；温柔则飞燕之肌，玉环之体，入手使人心荡。”因为芙蓉石的丽质与易于受刀的特征，自古就与田黄石并列为中国“印石三宝”之一。田黄石是“石中之王”，而芙蓉石则无愧为“石中之后”。
