香囊整体白玉材质，质地细腻晶莹。器作葫芦形，双面镂空，正中有“大吉”二字，旁边装饰缠枝凤鸟纹。中间掏膛，侧可开合。整体透雕工艺精湛，剔除了较多的玉材，使香囊的形制极为轻巧，便于日常的携带使用。香囊在清代宫廷中使用较为频繁，不仅可随身佩戴，也可悬于帐室或闺房中，还可用于舟车步辇中，可以说成为当时的一大风尚。里面可盛放香料，香味从镂空处溢出，十分精美。
