A bronze statuette of Hercules (Greek Herakles) standing nude, with lion-skin mantle over his left forearm, right hand (now lost) resting on the handle of his club, around the left arm a possibly later twisted silver bracelet. Cf. Rolland, H., Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, items 98, 101. 21.4 grams, 53mm (2"). From a private collection formed in the Netherlands; previously in a European collection formed prior to 1980.
