A carnelian gemstone with eagle standing right on ground-line, head left, Victory wreath in beak, set into a later gold ring with carinated hoop featuring scrolled ends, scrolled, openwork shoulders and an ovoid bezel with beaded border. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 348, for type. 7.89 grams, 25.83mm overall, 19.02x16.02mm internal diameter (approximate size British O, USA 7, Europe 14.98, Japan 14) (1").
