A group of two ceramic mould fragments comprising: one with impressed figure of a lion standing with tail hanging, and second partial figure of the lion's mane; one with seven impressions of a cluster of vine-leaves motif. 624 grams total, 11.7-13.7cm (4 1/2 - 5 1/2"). Property of a Cambridgeshire, UK, gentleman; acquired before 2000. The ceramic surfaces have been impressed with a die in a repeating pattern. From these negative impressions mouldings could be taken. [2]
