1st-3rd century AD. A delicate unguentarium with globular body, convex base, tall tubular neck, jagged original rim and iridescent surface. 17.8 grams, 93mm (3 3/4"). Property of a Florida, USA, gentleman; acquired by the present owner during his time in London in the 1980s; formerly from an old English collection. Unguentaria Are common finds in Roman cemeteries and were often used for storing liquids.
