A pair of garnet-set yellow and white gold cufflinks, c.1900, each dome-shaped link centred with a circular-cut garnet and chased with foliate decoration, each link 1cm wide, Russian style case by Friedrich Koechli, St Petersburg Provenance: Given as a gift to Prince Harold of Denmark (1876 - 1949) by his Aunt Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia on 18th October 1900. The box is marked 'Tante', meaning 'Aunt'. 'Tante Minny' was the Royal Family nickname for Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna. Previously sold Bruun Rasmussen, Russian Art, 15 June 2017, ex lot 1552.
