A cold-painted bronze card box, possibly American First quarter 20th Century Bronze box cast with lug handles, raised curvilinear bands, the sides decorated with the heads of two kings, a queen and a knave, the top with four suit motifs painted with later soft-enamels, and centred with a bronze finial of a jester holding a hand of cards, wood lined, with key 24 cm square, with handles 29 cm wide The four suit motifs on the lid are soft enamels - presume they have been restored? Some of the black has rubbed off. In general old marks, wear and some scratches to exterior . Wood interiors has a small chip to the top left corner - but generally clean and tidy. Wear to base.
